Removing Paint
Discussion
Hi Alan
Couple of options realy first you could use 'soda blasting' i've no actual experience but have been told its quite gentle HOWEVER I would recommend you take the car to a specialist in preparing and painting fibre glass. I'm sure you will get some recommendations for your area here, if not put a post in General TVR Stuff and Gossip.
A suggestion is Surface and Design in Blackpool http://www.surfaceanddesign.com/ ex factory and what they dont know isnt worth knowing. Wont be cheap but it will be the dogs testicles

certainly wouldn't risk putting a fibreglass body in any sort of dip tank even if you could find someone with one big enough. At worst could attack the fibreglass not just the paint but even if safe there is a risk of the solution bleeding out of gaps, joins and other little places to attack your shiney new paint !
walnut blasting is a gentler form of sandblasting, good for metal cars where it doesn't have the "stretching" effect sand or grit can have. Maybe get hold of a scrap panel to test on first ?
