My 550 is in for a service and with it now being just over 10 years old I started to wonder about the airbags - the service book seems to suggest that they should be changed after 10 years.

Does anyone bother ? Are they likely to still work after say 15 years ?

Also does anyone know the cost of changing both airbags

many thanks

Well the passenger side one appears to cost £1240 from Eurospares. They're not listing the driver's side one.

Ferrari 550 Maranello - PASSENGER SIDE AIR-BAG
Part No. 720200.. - NEW
In Stock
£1,240.70
Approx €1,415

I'll need to replace mine this year, fortunately they won't cost this much. Do others replace them? I don't know, I'll be replacing mine.

I wouldn't waste your money, I'm in the motorsalvage business & I see pleanty of 15+years old cars where the airbags have still worked correctrly, this is just ferrari's 'get out' clause incase they do develop problems in later years
