Bad Day in London

Got to Victoria this morning and 20-30 Police/Plastic Police searching bags

Colleagues have had trains cancelled due to Security Alerts and/or Evacuations at Waterloo and Charing Cross, have checked the news and nothing so thought I would ask the PH massive as they are generally more reliable

Anyone got any info?

Hmm, I hope it's just a superstitious new Met Commisioner but not sure they would mobilise to that degree for that...

If thats the case I'm gonna release some black cats in front of Scotland yard, freak them right out!!

Last night there was a Police CCTV van at West Drayton station (nr Heathrow) and they were also checking bags etc. A bit heavy handed for the usual crowd of commuters and tramps.

Apparantly a Brazilian national was seen walking calmly around the Tube system last night. You can never be too careful.

Yeah thats what I thought about this morning, a bit disturbing if I'm honest.....

I remember seeing this sort of this previously and it being in a Friday 13th, seriously.

They have also done in on anniversaries of 9/11 and 7/7. Hopefully, its nothing more than superstition.

I must admit my reaction was similar, although I am concerned it was nice to see that there are at least some Police left in London, besides what we see is the visible presence, I guarantee a lot more work is going on behind the scenes that we will never know about, I for one am greatful...

I walked through London Bridge station at 9am and there were no police or signs of delays?

I have been fortunate enough to have had insight into the counter terrorism work being done in this country and I am satisfied that the majority of police actions are entirely justifiable.

I would be interested to understand where you believe the line should be drawn and what you believe the effect of a change in practice would be as a result.

According to my wife just now...

This is not a comprehensive list, but the Victoria line is closed completely, and there is no service on the Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Aldgate. There is also no service on the Circle Line between King’s Cross and Moorgate.

I was driving out of finsbury sq last night about 11.30pm and there were at least 2 police cars with sirens on that came past me in under 2 minutes...

I think an MP might have got his shoes wet in the rain or something more serious than that might have happened?;)
