Is the air filter element in a 2005 Cooper S the same as JCW cooper S?Just wandering whether my K&N panel filter will fit in the new car.Thanks again John.

No the box is replaced, and its no a panel in the JCW.

But might be worth taking the K&N out and selling on

That's a shame,I'll sell it seperate I think.Is there a suitable upgrade? or is the standard one up to the job?

Buy the Alta CAi or the GTT CAi

I had the Alta and loved it, not cheap but it will make you smile!

Just found them,there's also an ITG foam filter,looks pretty good value at £40.Has anybody had experience of these?

I have an ITG and this is the best for the JCW. Most JCW owners are using the ITG. ITG are a big market leader and used more in motor sport than K&N or any other, so they have a good name and reputation

It does but not a huge amount, really this removes the restriction of the paper filter of the stock JCW and allows a better flow
