I have a Walkera 4#3 which I bought mid last year. At the time there was also the Buzz Fly which looked, mechanically, exactly the same. Is/was there a difference between the two?

Also there are now newer versions of the Walkera, 4#3B, & BuzzFlyer, the Buzz Fly 2.4G & SE. Can I upgrade mine to the same spec as these by purchasing the metal upgrade kit & if so the best place to order spares from the UK?

Finally there is now a 6 channel micro 'copter out (Walkera 4G3 & Buzz fly Mini zoom se pro). As I can now fly the 4#3, this looks like the next step up. Which one should I get with spare easily available?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The buzzflt and the 4~3 are identical mechanically, I think the canopy and stickers might be different.

The 4G3 has variable pitch, so you can fly it upside down.

I bought mine from here
http://www.chinesejade.com/walkera.htm

He also stocks spares for all walkera helicopters slightly cheaper than UK suppliers.

Delivery from Hong Kong was less than a week when I ordered.

Have Walkera seriously improved their products or something? I purchased one many moons back (price was just too seductive) but after doing some pre-flight checks decided it was simply too dangerous to use and in fact packed it up and sent it to the gov't safety bods - who agreed with me!

I think they might have.

My 4#3B flew pretty well out of the box and I dont have any complaints about the quality.
Some parts of the design and documentation can be improoved but its not dangerous.

Check out this thread:

Most people will start with a fairly small coaxial. But if you're feeling a little more confident, then any fixed pitch heli with some training gear. You will crash it though, so budget for some spares. A simulator is also a good idea.

My first heli was a Walkera 4#3B and although great fun, far from an idea first heli really. I'm a quick learner, but it's really twitchy and far less stable than the larger 400 or even 250 sized models.
