Hello everybody,

I'm very new to Esprit stuff and would like to get some help from VIN gurus first. I have found a car with the following numbers (see at the end of the message).

I decoded them as well as I could using the VIN guide, and have the following questions:

1. The VIN reads that the car is 1996 Model Year ("T") and 95MY ("2") at the same time. Does it make sense? Any comments?

2. Is it correct to assume this is Esprit S4? Sources on the web say that S4 has been in production until 1995. Does it get along with "1996 Model Year".

3. As I understand from one of the previous topics, it is fine though uncommon the car is equipped with a 2.0 turbo.

4. Anything you can add looking at these numbers? Does somebody have a similar car?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like this is one of the Esprits built in 1996 for the Italian market. That is why it has the 2.0 liter engine. It is built to 95MY S4 specs but is considered a 1996 MY.

Cheers.
