Credit card quandry

I have an MBNA credit card and a Virgin Credit Card (underwritten by MBNA so effectively the same company).

Is it possible to take our their new rewards card https://wwwa.mbna.co.uk/apply/UKCCapp/Ctl/entry?sc... Combining the balances and credit limits of the existing MBNA and Virgin card into one, basically meaning the rewards card superseeds the other two? Also taking advantage of the introductory rates.
