I've booked a test drive on a Z4 for tomorrow and the dealer has just posted the photos up on the website.

I've never seen one with a BMW bodykit on and was wondering whether the photos do it justice.

Is it going to be more subtle in the flesh?

Opinions?

I think the aero kit suits the coupe better than the roadster, but it depends on the colour and whether you like it in the flesh - after all it's you who's living with it.

Looks good, still never understood how BMW seats look all saggy so quickly though, and its all of them frown

Nasty. Particularly with the mud flaps but each to their own.

It might be more subtle in the flesh, and it's the reflection on the black paint making it look "different"?

At the end of the day there are a few out there, and it's a buyers market.

It might look great in the flesh.

I've just found another one with similar spec that's rather tempting.

Older & higher mileage but 2k cheaper and no bodykit.

It's always good to have some options.

In my opinion that's the better of the two cars to be honest.

Ours has the bodykit. It's excellent in the flesh, really does the car justice and really makes it look good.

Those aero kits look st, very max power.

The best looking Z4's are either the standard pre-facelift car or the Z4M.

Suspect there'll be a few more used ones about when the new Z4 comes out.

The body kit would put me off, but black is the best colour imho, though grey was the most popular.

Blue one here http://www.lillyandconstable.com/index.php?page=st...

Just noticed a black one too, sat nav and spoiler, quite a few miles tho.

Btw, saggy seats, big issue with new TT, worse than Z4's imo.

Yup, I agree. Test drove both today and despite the age/mileage difference they both drove pretty much the same.

In the end the unmodified looks and £2k saving clinched the deal for me.

This is going to be a loooooong week and apologies if the weather's rubbish next weekend, that's just my luck. biggrin

Glad you went for the stock looking one, good choice.

Check the alloys very carefully as those type can corrode and you want it to be A1 condition as its main dealer car, for sure!

I had the ellipsoid which I actually prefer but then of course everyone has different tastes (I mean someone paid money for that bodykit!) hehe

Thanks, the wheels are slightly corroded but I've asked them to sort it out as a matter of importance. The brake calipers also look rusty so they're going to do those as well. Apart from those small things, it's all looking good.

FWIW The previous owner of the black one had spent £3k having the kit fitted only 3 months ago! yikes

It's worth about 3k less to me, if that makes sense?
