Lamborghini Jarama S on EBay
Discussion
It's not every day that you see one of these for sale.
Is £30k a fair price?

If anyone is genuinely serious about that car I would suggest they have it uber-professionally crawled over and inspected.
I have heard a horror story from a very reliable source regarding a different "recently restored" car from a Bristol area dealership which resulted in the Police and Trading Standards being called and in the customer being threatened to have his head kicked in!

morning all
Never seen that car in the metal - looks good, though most of the S's had their seats with a fabric centre portion between the leather as per the picture below. None of them came with a cheapo plakky leather-look briefcase on the passenger seat or a small grinning frog in the glove 'box' though.

...and not that any upholstery 'variable' is any indication of anything much. As with any of the late 60's / early - mid 70's Lamborghinis, especially the front engined ones, they were always pretty much built almost to customer requirements, this may be the case here or else it's been refurbed at a later date.
That kind of red just looks wrong on Ferruccio's favoured spec. of Lamborghini really, and that gear knob would just have to go if that car were mine - if all else is OK, that price seems fair when there are at least two other Jarama S's that were for sale/sold fairly recently for between £35k and £42k.
Just my point of view tho', but darker colours are better for front engined Lamborghinis - there is one very dark red 'S' in the UK that's near-perfect for example and as for paint darkness, I know mine shouldn't be quite as 'bright' a green as it is. The owner before the previous owner had no real references for the correct Verde Rio but did at least make a good stab at 'repairing' the dire, dingy red used on the car in the early 1980's by a thoughtless vandal, for want of a better pair of words.
The Jarama S was famously known to be FL's idea of the best mid-way point between a Miura/Countach and an Espada - it was very much his idea of a business mans' motor for blasting to the office, to any meetings, to lunch, presumably to the mistress and (eventually) to home each day.
FL told all that to a German journalist in the late 80's/early 90's when he was already living mostly at his vinyard / farm in Umbria and was (the article said) conducting the interview in the kitchen whilst making coffee and wearing a scruffy vest and shorts...
this is just to use a bit of PistonHeads' server space before I go out this morning...

...best kind of golf is that crazy kind
