Help, my 4yo daughter needs a larger bed so looking at a single, But due to the fact she's in the 3rd bedroom which is rather small I am finding it difficult to get a bed that might fit in her room and leave her with room for other stuff.
Looking at a bed less than 200cm long,
no wider then 95cm
Have come across very expensive made to measure beds but just can't see the point paying £££ on a bed for a 4yo who will want a newer bed in 5-10 years times.
Whats making our choice even more difficult is we ( me and Mrs RemaL) are looking for a girly bed, Disney, pink or such like
Any recommendations or suggestions?

We have a similar problem with our youngest boy who's 2 and in the smallest room (got to feel sorry for the youngest kid !) Its not actually big enough to get a normal size bed in but we did manage it by making small adjustment to a normal pine bed, and to the skirting board. When he's a bit older (probably 4) we'll probably get a cabin bed so that his 'stuff' can go underneath, I think Argos/Homebase/Ikea have a few, some of them with little dens underneath that the kids can play in.

Ikea do a sliding childs bed that you can adjust to the size you need......not too sure how you go about getting a matress to fit the chosen length though?Then get yourself to B&Q, get the timber and build one yourself to your own spec.

Using a mid or high sleeper will help. We started off with a 2'6'' wide cabin bed when our yougest was only about 4, trouble was he grew out of it too quickly.
He's just turned 7 and we've got him a Stompa high sleeper, with a desk underneath on one side of the ladder and it had a futon pull out on the other side, we got rid of the futon & have a Malm 6 drawer chest of drawers instead.
He still has enough room for the bookcase, with the chest of drawers we don't have to keep clothes in another room and we just had to get creative with a shelf for his bedside light.
This arrangement we feel is the best use of a small bedroom. Desk will come in usefull too when he gets older & homework kicks in.!!

I would also recommend a mid sleeper bed, as they are suitable for 4yr+ unlike high sleepers which should be for 7yr+. Quite a few of places sell them nowadays, and you can chose from having storage underneath or a desk. Also since the mattress would be a standard single you won't have a problem with getting sheets to fit.
