Just nipped to Enfield (no reason is good enough I accept) and on way back found a white van parked at the interchange between the M25 sliproad and the A10 going Northwards. Had lots of cameras pointing thruogh 'gun slits' no markings of any sort and in a very odd place (well odd if it were a scamera as it would be impossible to be speeding there) - any ideas?

I saw the exact van today. Coming off the M25 going clockwise, I came up the slip road and saw it across the fields, I then headed for Waltham Cross and went straight past it. At the roundabout down the road there was a trafpol car - did they have a radio link to the van ???? Ie. "Hey lads, there's a tax dodger coming your way" (I am not implying me !!) . OR is the "video" taken away for analysis ????

When you are doing an ANPR Operation the operator inside the van has a direct radio link with the waiting Trafpols/Local Police.

The beauty of ANPR is that you can load whichever database into it that you fancy.

On a busy road, when you have loaded everything into it, it literally 'pings' every minute but most of it is low on the list of priorities, which is ok if you have a load of Police on the operation.

If not, then common sense says that you have to be selective and only go for the tasty stuff.
