Not sure this is wise. Goodness only knows if there are other things for the children to do locally.
Perhaps we should take a nanny.

Then do wre take the GTB, the e-type and the GTB, something sensible.

Any ideas or advice?

Personally I would leave the kids at home and take the Nanny.

Yeah, I took a Passat TDi, it was quite the weapon around there! Take the kids, they'll love it.

Dunno how old your kids are, but in general they seem to enjoy TF as much as anyone.

If you stay at the Dorint, they have a nice pool that the kids can swim in and they have a public intermong connection so they can surf German porn sites while you're out having fun.

In my experience kids there have a GREAT time and are not in any danger.

That said, this statement relates to German, French and Italian kids in the main, not the revolting loud uncouth little scum chav kids from England that seem to ruin everything here, be it restaurants, museums, cinemas and parks by proving themselves completely unable to shut the f k up and behave.

is there a minimum age for passengers or can anyone go round? i`m happy to say i have two well disciplined children but i too pull my hair out at how badly behaved some are-and how apathetic the parents are.

I took my 2 year old around and he loved it. If you come in via France then there is also a really play park on the road about an hour from the ring.

if it's in the summer, just down the road in Cochem there's a big outdoor swimming pool near the river and a zoo up on top of a hill

Took my boy when he was about 6. He absolutely LOVED it. After playing various driving sims on the Xbox/PS2 for some time, he was a human satnav and could tell where the road went left/right after each crest/turn. laugh

Dorint is the best place to stay with kids. Tip: try to go when there is another 'Ring event on the F1 circuit so that it's not just hanging around the carpark which can get boring for them. We mixed a TF day with some historic racing on the F1 circuit which gave open access to the pitlane making it all the more interesting.

We often look back at that trip with very fond memories. Worth doing at least once with family, apart from the usual lads-only hoon down driving
