Good to see that despite the advent of the Germans Lambo are remaining true to their roots of designing an initially pretty car and then trying their hardest to make it as chavvy as possible.

Makes an M6 look classy.

Assume it will have some slightly different panel from a 640 and not just a rigid wing. Hope though it's not too flashy and OTT as that will only make me jealous. smile

That looks like another Autocar "Artist's Impression" special which has absolutely no bearing on reality whatsoever!

Surely though, spoilers, fins, garish colours and the like are what the fastest bulls are all about?

A lambo isn't meant to be subtle, my impression of them is that the whole point is that it's an 'in your face' kind of car.

all of which leads me to say that an SV with all the bits is a natural progression.
slightly disappointed at the lack of laser turrets thought frown

Spot on guys. Though not quite ready for the SV yet. Reckon that should be the Murci replacement except with 4 wheels on it. Can anyone photoshop that and send it to Italy?

Only if you ignore every model before the hack job on the Countach and your idea of a 'Lambo' is tied in with a poster from the 1980s with a huge wing. I cannot think of a single model they've ever made that looked better with huge vents or spoilers or whatever.

I thought the Diablo SV looked better WITH a wing and the 6.0 L Diablo looks better WITHOUT the wing - however, I suspect the LP670-4 SV will absolutely need the rear spoiler......

Absolutely, a very fair point.
I'd never ignore the pre Countach models. they are things of beauty.

However from the 1970's on, Lamborghini carved out a niche and a reputation for loud styling and loud colours. It's not just about beauty, or even aerodynamics it was about making a statement.
Thats nearly 40 years that also should not be ignored.
my point was more to do with the fact that we should not be surprised at spoilers fins and the like.
a childs poster car.

(i still want Laser Turrets smile )

All supercars should have wings imho. Apart from the fact they look much more serious and aggressive, they need them - what about that koenigsegg on top gear that couldn't stay on the track until they put a wing on it.

:cough:

Pre-Countach stunners:

1969 LAMBORGHINI Jarama Rally (Bob Wallace Special), chassis #10350, engine #40537

1968 LAMBORGHINI MIURA JOTA, chassis #3781, engine #2511, Prod #283, date 30 Nov 1968

1971/73 P300 URRACO "BOB" (1 Made), chassis #3000, engine #3000

Even without the added bits these cars were stunners in their days.
