Airplane hijackings ?

Can't imagine a plane getting hijacked nowadays. The passengers would pressume they would die anyway with the possibility of the plane being flown into a building so would have a last stand type affair against the hijackers. The hijackers might kill a few of the passengers but not all of them. At least I'd hope the passengers would....

No but I have a number of friends who were detained at the pleasure of Saddam Hussein in the build up to the 1st Gulf War from August to December 90.

Not been hijacked but I guess all my Ryan Air flights have been good practise for what it's like........

No, but I was on one of the next Pan-Am flight into Karachi after the Hijack in 1986 - My parents and us flew quite regularly to pakistan at that time and usually on Pan-Am or Thai airlines and it was quite obvious that the staff make up on the plane were not standard airline attendants. Almost all of them were were aged 50+, rude and did not have a clue about service. We suspected there were a lot of intelligence agents in the team. There were also a number pretty obvious air marshals on board. We were a little apprehensive, I remember, but obviously nothing happaned.

I quite possibly have been on a plane that was hijacked, but not on the actual flight when it happened. The experience was unremarkable.
