It's noften I manage to fix anything, so thought I'd throw a couple of words in to this thread so it may get found on the search facility smile

After my recent ECU replacement due to the last one failing to be waterproof smile I found yesterday that the hot & cold air controls were either on maximum power or nothing at all. I've removed & opened the heater control box expecting to find fish, bottom feeding on a knackered varisistor, but it's bone dry in there. Lots of plugging & unplugging of the connectors on it has now solved the problem.

Not sure what fixed it, but the ribbon that goes in to the box has got a horrible kink in it, so could be that. However I'm more confident that the ribbon was on the pins at a slight angle, and a couple of the connectors weren't making.

Ahhhhh. Mine does exactly the same thing ! Another of the little jobs not got round to fixing yet. I'll take a look at that. Cheers

How about that, my heater fans are non variable speed, shall investigate
