With the recent gritting, im worried about salt and corrosion on the underside of my MR2. I dont have jacks that can lift the car up high enough to wash underneath it with my hose, so are there any general tips on how to properly remove winter crap?

Simple....pop into a garden centre and buy either a large plant spraying bottle with a lance or an attachment for the hose which waters hanging baskets.

These will allow you to spray water under your car and to clean away the salt etc.

One area to really do is under the wheel arches, front and backwith an open hose, ie no jetwash etc and just flood the areas.

do you reckon the feeble bit of pressure from that will be enough to remove the salt and grime?

The lance for watering hanging baskets will. Buy one made by Gardena and the pressure from a hose is pretty good.

The pump spray is not bad.....but any attachment on the end of a hosepipe with a spray is adequate...with salt a jetwash is not the answer, the volume of water is....
