Ever been accused of being ist or ic at work?
Discussion
I mean racist, sexist, homophobic? I don't mean accused in a jokey way, but in a embarrassing, perhaps getting the boss involved kind of way?
I am interested in how people react and feel because as far as I can see in modern organisations it can be the death knell to a career/promotion so people would rather be branded with anything than ist or ic.
When anyone tries to get serious and threaten action they get told to shut up and stop being such a gayer/female/gayer/ethnic/gayer/lentilist/gayer/etc.
Fun never stops I tell you. Plus HR seem less PC than the rest of the departments put together. It will all end in tears I'm sure, but it is quite amusing.

I got told told I was a hyper-active mentalist yesterday does that count?
Although apparently it was a compliment.
Also these words have been used at work with me in reference:
communist
ageist
pathetic
pedantic
Personally I just think I am a stupidist.

A long while ago one of my managers was being "ic" to me. Went on for months. Had I wanted to, I could have had him sacked. It concerned me, in a way, as if I didn't think properly about the consequences, I could have ruined his career just because of some things he said because he was scared of me!
