Photography offer
Discussion
Hi all, I'm looking for some interesting cars to photograph, and I'll be extending the offer to various car marques too, as well as being copy/pasted on a couple of sections of this site. I'm based in Wakefield currently, so anyone local with an interesting car, please read! I'll try to break down some of the info:
The cars
Essentially, it has to be somewhat interesting. That doesn't necessarily mean expensive, so just shout up with what you've got and it'll be considered. I'd be just as eager to shoot a 70's Alfa 1600 as I would a Zonda, so don't be shy.
What I get out of it
I'll get full rights to the image, meaning I can use it for any need I see fit. This could mean the image is used for advertising on the internet, or even for a T-shirt design. Most likely, it'll simply be printed and glued into my portfolio.
What you get out of it
You'll get a CD with all original images in full resolution (3264x2448 RAW format), plus any edits I make (usually 500x350 in high quality JPEG), at least one desktop wallpaper made from the image of your choice (again, high quality JPEG, size depending on your needs). If I do make a T-shirt design from the image, I may even give you the design free of charge (though this will be discretionary). Mostly though, you'll hopefully just have a bit of a laugh and talk to someone with a passion for cars and photography.
Agenda
There's nothing too strict here. I'd be looking to meet up preferably one on one, though if people would prefer to do it as a group that's not a problem. The location would really be down to the owners location, though the closer the better, I would be willing to travel. I'd be looking to use natural lighting, and natural backgrounds. As unprofessional as that may seem, I'll essentially be turning up with my car, camera and laptop so you'll get a brief idea of how the shots will turn out. I'll be taking a fair few stationary shots, some macro shots and where possible some motion/action shots.
That's pretty much it. If you're interested, post it in here or email me (Boost_Addict@hotmail.com). I can appreciate that people will want to see previous work before committing which is fair enough. Here's a few quick ones. They're not particularly chosen down to their range of skills, nor because they're any good. They're just some recent edits I happen to have on my girlfriends new laptop. They simply represent the kind of clarity the camera will produce. Before I put them up, I'm also fully aware that I'm not the greatest photographer in the world, and that my work is subjective and not everybody will like it. Just take this at its face value - an opportunity to chat cars, photography...anything with somebody like-minded, and a chance to get some free shots of your car. Anyway...

If anyone wants to see more, let me know and I can edit some others I have on this computer (700+ Nurburgring photos, 200+ Croft photos).
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Tell your friends, this isn't necessarily just a PH offer.

Grez,
You are welcome to try your skills on mine (see profile, it's the red Ferrari ... yeah yeah I know... as opposed to the yellow one that is also on there before anyone pipes up that they're all red
)
It is going in next week for a service and nose paint, then it will be getting a full paint detail to bring up really really nice. Should be ready late March if that's of any interest.
I'm near Goole but happy to go to interesting locations

Don't know anywhere really around Wakefield, the company has only just moved there so not familiar with the area yet other than say Sculpture Park etc - now there's an idea. I'll send you my normal contact details and maybe we can sort something out. If we get some decent weather I do use the Tuscan to drive to the office now and again anyway, although I need to suss out a nicer route rather than J36-39 of the M1.
Cheers - Dan.

Blimey, this has gone down a lot better than it has in the FLM&B section!
Izabar/DCLane - If you guys know of any spots you might think will look good more local to you, I'm happy to drive to meet you, or even drive about if the spot turns out to be not particularly suitable. Derelict buildings would be fantastic!
Scooby - I'd love to shoot the kit car mate, just let me know whenever you're ready.
Ash - I'm a huge 996 fan, and my friends dad is interested in buying one so I'd definitely be interested in shooting it!
C2'S'man - Yeah, would definitely be interested in shooting that too!
Sparky - As a member of the SXOC for the last 3 years or so, I couldn't really say no.
Jaybee - Lovely car, and again I'd be happy to capture it for you.
For all those interested, feel free to email me with any suitable dates or locations etc for you. I'm available most week nights for any night shots you want, and weekends for day/night shots. I'm up most mornings too at 5am so if you fancy some sunrise shots and don't mind the early rise don't be shy!
