I thought he had a Suunto Black on? They're not issue but are the watch of choice for most squaddies.

I've got a Core All Black, had it less than a month and the bloody thing has stopped beeping on button presses... I'm gonna see if it's the battery but the core's have a bad reputation for being flaky.

I've only had mine a month too frown

(btw, the one pictured above is an Orange & Black on a black strap. The All Black has a negative LCD and blue/green backlighting)

(edited to add, I've just had a look and it's started beeping again... god knows what's up!!)

I've had some issues with mine, will be RMAing it this week.

First started a week after I got it when the battery was dead. Put it down to being in storage or something before I bought it.

A week into a holiday it just stopped. I replaced the battery (again) and all was well.

Two weeks later it packed up again, I could see the screen was flickering so I popped the battery out and put it back again, all was fine ...

A week later I had to replace the battery yet again as it was totally dead. Luckily I took a spare with me on holiday.

Then I woke up one morning a week later and it seemed to have reset itself - date and time were wrong, button beeps came back on (I turn them off), temperature had stuck on -327C, barometric pressure reading is constant, altitude set itself to -27000 feet.

I hope the next one isn't as bad as that.

Well I went to pick it up and left it there. Didn't like it at all when I saw it for real.

Oh dear, mine has a fault too, it was purchased in December. The fault is 2 lines on the display are broken, mine will be going back. I really like the watch and it's features, maybe I will try a G shock riseman.

Has he changed it then? Last programme I watched on sky 3 he was wearing what looked like one of those CWC reissue chrono's.

I reckon he has a few watches. I've seen him wearing a Sub and when I saw him at Twickenham last year, a Daytona.

Like the look of the Suunto Core. Might get one to replace my old Casio G-shock as a weekend/holiday watch.

Is there anything else out there for £150-200 that I should be considering??
