I know it's not the most exciting topic, but wondered if anyone had past experience of this...

Barclays are trying to persuade me to sign up for their Additions bank account. It's a fee paying service with slightly more banking options, but basically it has travel insurance, mobile phone insurance and comprehensive RAC breakdown cover. Seems it equates to almost as much as the breakdown cover alone is it a sensible choice or a false economy?

Holiday ins is worth £50-£60 for a single person
RAC £80
Mobile phone ins £60

Sounds good to me

I've got the Natwest equivalent jobby... think its £12.95 per month for annual travel insurance (me plus OH), Mobile Phone Insurance, apparently tailored rates for Loans/ Overdrafts, Breakdown cover and a host of other things.

I'm happy with it.

I've got the Barclays cover and its well worth it.
With the RAC cover alone you're quids-in, as it covers you, not the car. I have 2 cars so I'd have to pay 2 lots of RAC. The extended warranty is also worth it (just about to use it on the dishwasher), as is the mobile phone insurance and travel insurance.

No brainer IMHO.

It also covers emergency home repairs so when I had a pipe burst Boxing day it was sorted through this. Well worth the money IMO.

i've got barclay's additions for the simple reason that the interest free overdraft is larger than standard and the cost saving on that means it pays for itself and the insurances are freebies.
