1st service and mot

Had my car at TVR power today for the 1st time since owning it and was crossing all my fingers.....
Failed MOT on winscreen wipers not returning and slightly pitted disks. Disks will clean up - down to me not using it enough and windscreen wiper switch is £5!

not too bad

Got them to have a look over it and they reported - new upper front wishbone needed (done), leaking diff seal (not going to bother), slight radiator leak ( will monitor), perished engine mount (done) + chassis requiring clean up and reseal (done)

All in all not too bad - they also cured the cold starting problem I had by rebalancing all the injectors and reported that engine seems strong

Thank goodness......!!

Ferry is now booked for next Tues for my trip down to Verona

All sounds in order apart from the wishbone. Did they show you the old one, and if so what did it look like?

Not picked up the car yet - Weds. Will have a look then
Guy mentioned there was some slack/movement in the joints?

Maybe new bushes then rather than the wishbone itself..

The top front wishbones rot,i had to replace both of mine last year(1998 car.)
