Crankcase Scavenge Modification

During conversations with Universal Turbos regarding the spec. of my hybrids, the subject of crankcase breathers was raised.

Apparantly, one of their recommended mods. was to plumb in a scavenge system for use during engine idle to improve crankcase breathing, but it was never implemented.

This was to help reduce oil passing by the turbo oil seals.

Common on production cars..

Anyone done this?

Not convinced I understand, are the three breathers (both banks & middle of the V) not enough?

Uses a one way valve connected to vacuum source e.g. inlet plenum, which AFAIK helps scavenge gases out of crankcase.
