I need (well, wantbiggrin) a compound saw as my current one was cheap and is now knackered. Anyone got any recommendations for a DIYer*?

*I was going to say forget DeWalt as I know they're meant to be good but I don't want to spend that much, but this looks like a bargain...

Dewalt/Makita/Blue Bosch

You wont go wrong with any of them really.

Cheers. That's what I assumed. Is there any truth in the "DeWalt aren't what they used to be" rumours?

It does appear cheap, but it doesn't tell you the model number or what the cutting capabilities are

Was going to suggest this. Top bit of kit for the price.

I've heard a few people say DeWalt is not what it used to be but I have plenty of there stuff that gets abused every day. Not had a single issue in 4 years.

I think this is the same model - listed with spec this time...

It's the DW703 which has similar specs to the 713, but I guess is an older model.
