Just wanna ask a quick direct question.

If you get stopped and given a producer, you take your details in to the station (within the 7 days and everything), how long would you have to wait before you next hear something? (im assuming that the nex thing you hear will be the fixed penalty? eg. that that's the next step eg if you got stopped for speeding

Any police on here let me know please? How quickly do you file the relavent info or whatnot (im not exactly sure what happens as you can tell lol)

As I understand it, if you have been given a producer only, once you have shown the relevant docs that is the end of it (assuming everything is ok with the docs).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If it's only a producer (HORT/1) that you were issued, and you took doc's in within the 7 days, and there is nothing wrong with your docs, then you will hear no more.

If you were given a ticket and the producer part was filled in, you still have to take docs in but you also have to pay fine within 28 days.
If you do all that then you will hear no more.

It all depends on what has happened at the scene-:

1) Were you reported for speeding (High speed directly for summons), then you would only get a producer presuming that you couldnt produce your Docs at the scene.

2) Given an Endorsable FPNE

3) Only given a producer and verbally warned for the offence of speeding.

What sort of speed was it?

Hmm, well I wish I'd paid more attention - I don't actaully know what it was (my mum said it WAS a HORT/1 however), i just took it down the copshop within 7 days (this was about 3 to 4 weeks ago now tho)

tonyrec - I'm assuming it was 1) i was speeding, the plod said I was doing almost 60, and I think it was a 30. can't remember that far back. He mentioned something about driving without due care?

So am i just waiting around for a Fixed Penalty notice or court summons? He said he'd report it...

You will be waiting for a Court Summons. Certainly not a Ticket which would have been given to you at the scene and the top section would have been the bit to take to the Police Stn.

--------
Were you stoned too, when I was done speeding, I remembered events very clearly, and I wasn't doing double the limit either, so this should have been etched into your brain.
--------

Well actually i was quite tired and intimidated by 3 coppers jumping out of the police and shouting, and searching me as if I had 5 guns and a samarui sword on me. After they'd calmed down, they didn't even breathalise me cos they knew I wasn't off my face or nething of the sort.

I remember it all clearly, except what I was actually issued with. What if i told you that one of the police "officers" was telling my friends in the car that they could get 3 points on their licenses if we got stopped and they didn't have their seatbelts on. Even if they didn't have driving licenses when they applied for provisionals the 3 points would be tacked on when they did!

I said - simple question ito the coppers on this board - and hence - This was a simple question directed to the very helpful coppers that ARE on this board - no question of policing quality or whatnot were involved, neither was any question of the quality of my driving (or lack of) or what I said in responce (I apoligised and said I was being a twat, I was trying to get home quickly as it was the day before I was due to go to uni) so why don't you basically shut the up, I don't need to answer to you about it that's for sure lol.

>You will be waiting for a Court Summons..

how long approx will i be waitin gplease lol, I'm starting to be like... wens it coming wens it comign wens it coming. ar well. thanks for the help.

I've had loads of these dropped by the CPS. I once followed a guy at speeds of up to 70 mph at 8 am through 30 limit backstreets for about 2 miles in a panda (uncalibrated speedo, single crewed). It was a weekday morning. He was in a gooner I think.

I realised that I was on a non-starter for a speeding straight away so reported him for due care. It got dropped by the CPS as "excessive speed alone is never evidence of driving without due care".

So obviously I don't bother now...I just spank people on the bottom.

Mine was 3 policeman in a calibrated speedo car, luckily for me (not) they wre the main responce team out at the time lol. They gave me a good lecture too tho lol
