FFS rolleyes I've got some presentation to do at work that I need to win so I get £150 to put towards motion lotion for my sled.

Guess what, it's PH's favorite interview questions!

You are required to prepare a 5 minute presentation, which you will be presenting to your colleagues!!!!

The topics which must be included are as follows:
Your greatest strength at work rolleyes
Your biggest weakness at work rolleyes
What motivates you rolleyes
What de-motivates you rolleyes
WHAT CAN YOU CHANGE THAT WILL MAKE YOU PERFORM BETTER AT WORK??
Really can't be arsed with this but I fear there might be an alterior motive to it as it's come out of the blue so best take it seriously and do a good job imo.

Anyone got any good tips then?

Respect points to those who help.

doesn't really matter what you put, it will be 95% similar to your colleagues.

its how you present that will make the difference, so if you can't be arsed then wave goodbye to that £150 now.

Oh, this is going to be a tough one then...

Your greatest strength at work - That you listen to the customer. This means that the customer will return to Ford time and time again for more cars.
Your biggest weakness at work - Browsing PH.. No wait, think up something else for that one... Perhaps that you get upset when a customer has a problem, you feel you get too involved in their plight and you are too keen to help them etc.. etc..
What motivates you - keeping customers happy. That means they come back to Ford and you keep your job. That and money...
What de-motivates you - customers who are angry at you when it was the fault of someone else. It is difficult to pursuade them it's the fault of X person and there is nothing you can do. It's depressing that you cannot help these people solve their problem.
WHAT CAN YOU CHANGE THAT WILL MAKE YOU PERFORM BETTER AT WORK?? - Shoot all managers who use The Office type of speak.

Make sure you present your weakness as a hidden strength. For example "I tend to get bogged down in detail, but I'm aware of it, it's under control and not a problem"

That way you answer the brief but also put forward a strength they might be looking for.

I'd rather be getting on earning bonus in my job than doing some poxy exercise to massage the boss's ego. However, it's compulsory and there is the prospect of winning £150 for my car. So Tony's got it spot on, moolah is a good motivator otherwise I wouldn't get up in the morning.

There's got to be some good tricks I can employ, most of my colleagues were at the back of the queue IYKWIM the rest failed to turn up biggrin so it should be a walkover for me.

I have the use of a flipchart & or whiteboard with colour pens if that helps. No projector or computing facilities so back to the old fashioned way. I was thinking of trying to involve a manager in some way but am a bit short on ideas?

A 5min presentation on those! They are just questions, useless boring unimaginative questions as well. Just reading out the question and giving the answer would take up 5mins and be hideously boring especially if a lot of people are doing the same thing.

Instead of a question and answer thing or god forbid a powerpoint slide show. Do a visual presentation, show your greatest strength instead of saying them and so on.

My biggest weakness is having to field the tired old and unimaginative strengths/weakness question, my visual response would be to punch the person in the face.

I didn't think that these existed in a Global Corporation these (new age) days...
"We have no weakness', just Development Opportunities".

I like the idea of you using the medium of Mime for your presentation.
That would be definitely worth paying to watch. Why not arrange to have it streamed on t'internet and charge ph'ers a couple of quid each to watch (you die on your ar5e)...you will clear £150 no worries.

Cheers for the moral support Willy thumbup

I'm thinking of employing the "Chewbacca" tactic on them. If they don't know the answer then they can't deny me the £150. I'll just use a trick question like the 'how many legs on a bus' and buses don't have legs or something.

Easy Win!
