Long Shot : Rangemaster fridge error codes??

Thought I may aswell post it up here just in case!

Out rangemaster fridge/freezer thing has error code F3 where the freezer temp should be

The manual recommends contacting the servicing department, but I was wondering whether anyone might know what it was?

Lunch box flashing - "Error 1215, Error 1215...."

You check the manual (or more likely, go on to the lunchbox website toc check what a Code 1215 error is. And it says -

Error 1215 - Your lunchbox has diagnosed that you have you have exceeded your calorie intake limit for the day. The box will remain locked for a further 12 hours. Please retry later.

Its one of those american fridges with ice machines etc in it, there's a display thing on it telling me something's wrong - just not sure what it is!
Oh well, food still seems frozen, should be ok

A fridge has error codes?!!

Compressor compresses fridge freezes, compressor stops, fridge freezes not, er that's it isn't it?

Have you checked the cam timing? If it's a tooth out either way it won't run properly.

here's a sensible answer.

Clean the grill at the rear as it may be causing heat build up causing innefficiency. Check for condensate drains, see if they are blocked, check all seals, that they are clean and seal well.

If all else fails call 0845 603 5312 with you serial number and ask rangemaster what the issue is (tell them you have a friend that is a corgi registered gas fitter but he is struggling to find out what the fault codes mean because they're not in the manual)

Rangemaster list a bunch of approved spares suppliers so I'm sure they'll give the info up!

Where does the heat build up go if it is surrounded by cupboards?

If there is a vent (or couple) that allow vantilation to the rear then it would definitely be a good idea to pull it out and de-fluff it!

Just phoned up, and she eventually told me it was the Freezer temperature sensor that had failed
Think the warantee ran out on it at the start of this month! What great timing
Didn't sound like she wanted to tell me what the error code was until she'd booked an engineer to come and have a look at it, told her i'd had someone to look at it and he didn't know what the code meant and she told me.
Not sure how important that part is, probably quite!

I would imagine that the sensor is used to operate the freezer, I expect it to be on max cold right now. Shouldn't be too involved to replace if your handy!
