I love the 6R4's, one of my all time faves. Can't wait for it, we're using it as a bit of a tester for our bikes this year, we do the Wales WRC every year and are thinking about taking push bikes this year. I'm trying to persuade my mate to do get his motorbike license so we can take the pair of crossers sitting in my dads garage, but no luck yet!

I can't think of any guaranteed spots for jumps, but there is a section about 300-400yds south from Somerley House section where you can certainly capture some good articulation. Go ¼ miles further on into the stage there's a decent r-angle bend to catch some skiddy stuff in a fairly open space.This will be my first time at Sunseeker. If you havn't been before you should check the Rally website as the passes required separate Somerley House from the other stages. If you are keen to get lots of variety with your pictures/viewing you may be better advised to do the non-Somerley pass instead.
Somerley is kind of the 'family' enclosure for the Rally. They have displays, food, drink (toilets) but good photo spots are limited within the arena. Too many f*cking hay-bales, VIP areas and advertising hoardings right at trackside to get decent shots unless you go well away from the arena & out onto the stage.
I've found some decent spots on the other stages over the years but I can't describe where you'd find them - you need to go and find places that suit what you want and then defend your line of sight from the idiots who think that standing right at the edge of the rally track is a bright idea. It's not as bad as the old footage of 80's WRC events in Catalunya but you'd be surprised at where some of these pricks think is a safe viewing point (sample from last year below - the car is flat in 6th...)

Tell you what gents, I had an amazing day today! Hired a bike from Forest Cycles in Burley, Mark there is a great chap and even drove out to Somerley Park when the chain on my bike snapped! We (somehow) didnt pay a penny, we didnt even get asked by any marshals on any of the gates. I would have happily paid for the action that we saw as well, it was brilliant. Every spectator that we came across was in a good mood and happy to chat. And so were the marshalls. A lot of people moan and groan about marshalls but today they were brilliant. We found some brilliant trails for the bikes, covering about 15 miles in total, mostly off road, and saw action on 4 stages!
And to top it all off, as I was riding past Tony Jardine I stuck my thumb up. He wound down his window and chatted to me and a mate right up until he started the next stage. A really nice guy and it really made my day. I hope you all had a good day to!
