Estate agents own properties

Can estate agents market their own properties? I'm sure I remember reading something about this ages ago but can't remember.

Believe that they have to declare any direct/indirect interest/relation with the property (eg relative's house) without a direct question from you.

Of course they can they have to declare an interest on the particulars under the EA Act tho'

Thanks for the swif replies, I though it was the case that they could sell them but had to declare an interest. Just wasn't sure if I'd made it up or not.
