Three Ultima GTR's on Power Tour

With the addition of another GTR to north east TN (USA) the possibility for a three car reunion exists when Jeff Schwartz drives his car into town on the power tour (Bristol).

Anyone else interested? I plan to travel to KY to follow the tour back to TN.

Crafty, Jeff may want to drive a Corvette and leave his GTR at home, maybe you could help him....

Jeff and I have hatched a plan in the last few weeks.... we're building something stripped out and nasty (and black!) for the event.

The GTR should be there too.

I will absolutely be there...in something stripped out black and nasty.

I can't go on the whole thing but plan to be in Kentucky and thereafter.

Looking forward to the drive.

.... getting close. Its my 40th at the end of June, this is my surprise birthday present to myself.

My brother and I are taking this, Jeff's taking his Ultima and his son is taking his Transam.

It hasnt got shocks in it yet, the rear is coming down a bit and the front is going up a bit.

275's on the front and 335's on the rear

2 Ultimas in 2006

Had to pull my motor back out because it was running rough. Turns out that the rebuilder retarded the cam timing a full 8 degrees and didn't seal the areas around the head stud so oil poured from the head studs below the exhaust ports....

All easily repaired but I'm going to be pushing it to get it back together in time.

We worked all last week to finish the Pontiac... will post pics soon. We started the tour on Sunday, Jeff took the Pontiac back to the shop Sunday night to fix a few things and left me with his Ultima for the drive on Monday. I drove about 150 miles yesterday..... 1000hp in an Ultima is INSANE. I used to say that my 585HP supercharged LS2 was enough (it is) but now I have driven a twin turbo... I think I am hooked. Words cannot explain the rush when it comes on boost.

It was nice seeing you and your brother there crafty yesterday, in South Bend. And I do have to admit that b-day gift to yourself was spot on! Are you going to be driving it at the track event @ gingerman in a few weeks, or is that jeff by himself that is doing that?
