Isnt that just going to blast grit and dust all over the car....thus making it dirty and damaging the surface?

Get some soft towels man!

is it the water in the panel gaps? if so just use the blowing side of a hoover to blow out the water.

Many people use them, just be careful. An air compressor does as good a job, and can be used on the inside too!

Job38,
As long as it's only used for that purpose you will be fine.

Its when you use combine the uses of car cleaning and what it is actually used for that there becomes trouble...LOL

I bought a 500watt Silverline blower, made specifically for the purpose, it's brilliant.
