Have any of you tried tapping out the oxygen sensor boss to the 18x 1.5 required for the more commonly available type ? I was thinking of running a LSF4 narrow band one side and an LSU4 wide band the other. Not looked to see if there is enough meat left in the bush yet but would be good if it has already been done.

Also while on the subject. Is there a standard pin out and connector for the narrow band sensors ? I guess not.

providing you can remove all of the old thread when running through the tapping drill for the m18 tap you should be okay.

Hi Clive, the package arrived, thanks.

I don’t have an 18mm fixing type yet but I think they take a 22mm hex socket, if anything that will be the problem as the hole ID is about 25mm so it is going to be fairly tight to get a socket in. There is loads of meat left to actually tap the thread into. Seems such a simple solution there must be a catch.
