Ferrari 360 worth buying??
Discussion
Hi iv been thinking of having one of these for a while now but was put off a while back by a mate saying he knew a few people that had them and had a lot of trouble. Hearing this iv been looking at 911 turbos well known for their ultra reliability and also aston martins out of all 3 id love the 360 but dont wana buy something that im always taking to the garage and wondering when its gonna go wrong next so my main questions are....
Whats the most common faults.
How often does it need serviced.
Whats the rough cost of running it over the year.
Im just weighing up all my options i work away a lot so want something nice to play with when i get home. Look forward to hearing from some experienced people thanks

In short - there are a lot of them about and I have never heard of any deal breaking issues. In fact, I don't hear much bad about them at all and they are cheaper to service than the earlier cars as you don't need to remove the engine every 3 years/24-30k miles to change the cam belt.
Go for it..they are well built and engineered (apart from clutch bearings and balljoints - both of which can be upgraded). Driving one is has a sense of occaison that no 996 will ever have and they ride infinately better..infact they are so civilised they are unreal...its like driving a balerina vs trying to ride a bucking bronco..
Astons...all hairgel and shiny suits...

i was under the impression they had to have the belts done every 3000 miles and it cost about 3-4 grand.
eh? Even on the 348 it's every 3 years or 30,000 miles. And as it's an engine out job it is about £1500 inc. major service with most respected indies. The 360 does not need the engine out so is significantly cheaper. As far as I know the change intervals are about the same.
