I'm going to have my gearbox out to sort out an oil seal leak, and as I've done 42,000 miles on the original clutch I'm thinking it must be close to the end of its useful life so I'll probably replace it while the 'box is off.
There've been plenty of threads on clutch replacement but I'm wondering what current thinking is.
As far as I can gauge the choice is just between the factory fit AP twin plate (Racing Green say with a 18-22k life - don't know how mine's lasted so long), or the Clever Trevor Raceproven assembly (not cheap)- although there seem to have been some adverse views on this unit.
Can anyone update with any new views?

My car had had a race proved clutch and lightened fly wheel fitted weeks before i got it, because it was fitted by a balloon it lasted less than a thousand miles.
But when i took it to a well regarded local specialist he advised against the raced proved and to go for the original spec clutch and flywheel.
I am NOT saying they are poor quality just that i was advised against fitting a race proved clutch because they have had issues with them in the past and doesnt use them anymore because although they replace the parts, he has to remove and fit the clutch free of charge through no fault of his own.

According to Clever Trevor when I tried to buy one last week, the Raceproved clutch is no longer available. This is aparently due to the fact that the manufacturer is planning to release a redesigned clutch, so has stopped making the current one. Their best guess as to when the new one would be available was "spring has been mentioned but it could well be summer or early autumn".
The same is true of the lightweight slave cylinder.
AP Racing told me that the do not refurbish TVR clutches as a matter of policy.
I am fitting a standard clutch (sourced from TVR Power) and replacing slave seals. Also putting on their lightweight flywheel while I have it in bits.

I have 10,000 so far on aa clever trevor/race proved clutch and it is very good, never had any problems with it of any kind. My original one failed at 30k with broken fingers although the plates were in good nick.
RaceProved have also done me a special for the turbo AJP which is a twin plate ceramic paddle. Quite expensive but if you are a hard driver or track day enthusiast I reckon it would be the DBs. Takes some getting used to on the road though, they are as fierce as hell and the difference between 25 yards of rubber and a stall is quite small.

Dont discount the clutch even though it has done 40k miles. I recently had my slave replaced and asked Matt at Sebrings to inspect the clutch to see if it needed replacing. He said it was in remarkably good condition with no real wear. So it maybe worth having the clutch looked at before you decide to junk it.
