K&N Filters - any experience on diesels?

Had the car remapped (130tdi), what a difference! Looking around and a low cost upgrade appears to be the replacement of the standard filter.

My question is - does anyone have any experience of fitting one to a diesel engined vehicle? Did it make any difference?

I took a pix of the Seat BTCC diesel car on a BTCC test day ... I was asked to delete it ..

So I would conclude it would make a difference.

I fitted a pipercross panel filter to my old A3 TDI - no major difference that I could tell if I'm honest. perhaps a little more noise over standard.

The stock paper filters are very good anyway so I'd probably just change it more often & save the money

I probably wouldnt bother, maybe look into the pd150 intake though with maybe a panel filter seems to be popular with the fabia vrs peeps
