What to do about my neighbour?
Discussion
Okay, I have been having a bit of concern over the people next door. My partner and I have lived in a rented terrace house for about a year and a half. We are in Brixton/Herne Hill London.
Next door seemed friendly enough when we moved in, I think that at least three middle aged guys live there. About three weeks ago at around 11.30pm I hear loud banging at their front door, this is normal as weird people are always waiting and knocking next door. I know that people are awake and in the house but just ignoring the caller. I had assumed a while back that they were probably dealing class A.
Anyway, the banging goes on for about half an hour so I have a look out of the window and some guy I have never seen before is climbing on next doors bay window and falls off, it looks like it hurt. Next he starts attacking the window (very badly) with a metal bar. This guy is well out of it, I dare not go out and challenge the maniac so I ring the Police.
As I am on the phone to them I hear glass being smashed, I describe the scene to the operator as he climbs through the "upper" part of the smashed window with shards of glass sticking out.
The police arrive and get into next door. We can hear them talking.
"Oh, that is Rodregas, he was trying to get in earlier"
WTF is going on?. So the police leave pursued by Rodregas who is none to happy to see them. It turns out he lives in the front room. Window gets repaired the next day.
This is no way to behave, makes no sense to me at all, people we in and they just ignored the noize. I know they are likely off their heads but it is not on.
I figure I can live it and decide not to pursue it further, we are looking to buy a place of our own soon. This is the first time that anything has happened.
I have just been out to the garden and I was horrified to find that someone from next door had chucked over a syringe. This has annoyed and worried me, I am not sure what to do. Oh and how do you safely dispose of a syringe?
What can I do?

Put it in the bin, move house sooner rather than later.Did it definitely come from next door? When I lived in a less salubrious part of Birmingham we used to to occasionally find syringes in the garden; it was a nice secluded place for random passing smack heads to shoot up.

Might be worth popping down to the rozzers if you get a spare half day.... They may be interested to know someone is using class As next door. No doubt they'll just give you a reference number though.
Nightmare, definitely phone the council about the needle. I found this behind my work (clicky for large image if you are brave).

I reported it to the council who came the next day and cleaned it up. Just to think that people were actually shooting up in this mess, very sad.
Good luck with your neighbour problem, and hope you find somewhere soon!

That 'FreshnLo' stuff should be outlawed.
