Compaired to some baby Lambos are they not still unrealistically high...? Who's going to buy an R8 when you can have the real thing in the form of a Galardo...

Disagree S600VXR; there's just been a similar discussion in General Gassing and I've seen another discussion in the Monaro/VXR forum; R8s are cracking cars in their own right and are a totally different ownership proposition to a Lambo (which is a fantastic car BTW). You can buy a much later plate R8 against a similarly priced Gallardo.

Yup as said different cars. The R8 is in a way a little more subtle than the g. It is also more forgiving as an everyday car unlike the g. Running cots are also very different.

The R8 has variable servicing upto 18k miles iirc whereas the gallardo has to be serviced every 6k miles. An R8 service is 300 upto ? .G g service is i think something along the lines of 700 and up.

The R8 is also supposed to be more reliable than the g.

How much of this is dead accurate cant say but really they are two very different ownership propositions.
