Just got done installing adjustable coil-overs on my 94 S4.
What a difference!! The PO had cut the stock springs to lower the car which upset the spring rate, making the car down right scary at high speeds. The steering was knife like percise, but the rear of the car pitched and rolled excessively which really unsettled the chassis.
But no more, with the proper spring rates it drives like a totally different car.
My question goes out to those that have installed similar shock/spring setups on thier cars,- What setting have you found for the front and rear shock dampening that is the best compromise between all out sport and comfort?
My shocks are made by GAZ and have roughly 45 positions of adjustment. Right now I have them set on 20 on the rear and 35 on the front. I can feel every ripple in the road, I feel like I'm riding on solid axles.
Instead of doing alot of experimenting on my own trying to fine the perfect settings, I thought I'd give a shout out to those of you on the board that have been running the sort and see what you have come up with.

Thanks!

Mike,

I'd like to hear more about your GAZ suspension. I'm currently doing a piece on Esprit suspension and what's available. Where did you get them and how much. What do you think of them?

email me at the site.
