the whole internet was turned off for a week?

No downloading music or tv/films, no browsing forums or reading the news. No ebay or other online retailers. No connectivity for your online PS3/Xbox gameplay. No facebook/myspace/twitter/other blogs.

If you could or couldn't cope for a week, what would be the minimum and maximum time you could be without internet access?

I could survive, but as all my jobs come to me via e-mail i would be skint.

Now life without a mobile phone...

For that alone, I'd gladly last a month or more.

Yep - when I go on holiday I don't tend to use any net or email. And somehow I survive...

Do you mean no internet - as in websites? Or no internet as in no connectivity?

Websites I could do without, get news from TV, Radio or Newspapers.

If it was the latter it would be beautiful as I could not work! Admittedly would not have a job either, but it would be a week off of work.

It's ok, i've downloaded the internet before, it'll be dated but there will be hundreds of sites i've never visited.

I had this happen a year ago, our pooter broke, the only ball-ache was clearing the emails afterwards.

If I had no internet at all, the major losers would be our drivers trying to find addresses.

I'd struggle. A few weeks ago the whole orange broadband network went down in the UK for around 2 hours, in the middle of the evening. I didnt have anything special I needed to do on the internet but it really bugged me that I couldnt just go on and surf.

They're too bloody lazy to read the things, or update them.

www.streetmap.com and www.postoffice.co.uk are your friend.

I'd find out where the switch was & turn it back on again.
