Has anyone recently replaced the carpets in a chimaera in the midlands area.

Im looking to replace mine and change the colour.

I did try a place in wolverhampton who have a good reputation but i think they misheard chimaera for cruise liner when they quoted a few quid shy of a grand !!!!!!!

I guess that is Aldridge trimming? If not give them a call. I popped in there a couple of weeks a go to have some gear stick/handbrake gaiters done for the S3. I asked about new carpets and was quoted £450 to do all the work. At he moment i am doing the outriggers, so have the seats, centre console, etc out. When i have finished I will pop it back in for another quote, which they said will be fine. Try them again, or pop in; they have an impressive workshop with lots of classics being retrimmed. And I must say they seem to do an excellent job.

I was also going to try a company in Cheshire that advertises in the Sprint.

This is on my list of "would like to do". At present the car colour is titanium with mulberry hide and grey capets, tried to convince myself on the grey carpet colour but would like to change them to black instead.

If anyone knows of a good place in the Chichester area it would be much appreciated. Cheers. Does £500 for the whole set fitted seem about right?

I found a nice guy, who comes recommeneded from the Berkshire TVRCC website, located in Newbury, Quoted me around £300 to completely strip, and retrim my 400SE with new royal blue carpet (not wilton & cream piping)
He is a one man band, so have arranged for him to have the car for a week or two just after christmas (his quiet time)
He also has the ability to stitck leather, so will probably get a quote to sort my seats out whilst he has the car.
