Navy blue, double-breasted, brass buttons.

Does anyone wear them anymore?

Or is it just me?

Yes. The official drinking blazer. Doesn't get as much use as in days past.

In the 80's I had a cravat too! MAybe should have been a 'shameful confessions' thread. And a flat cap.

Oh yes. Blue blazer, duck strides*, brown slip-ons - the quintessential casual drinking gear. Regimental or service tie worn of course.

  • Chinos will just about do.

I remember my one and only Blazer.

Had been in the Army about 6 weeks to be told by the RSM that we all needed to buy a Blazer for Church services.

Moral of the story= You do NOT wear one thru choice.
