Got my 93 Chimaera 4.0 a couple of weeks ago.
I get up in the middle of the night to go and have a look at it nestling in the garage.

Fancied something to cherish after the old MR2 had to go.
Thought I wanted an Elise, but saw the light in the nick of time and bought the Pink Peril.
Yes it is Hot Pink but it really is lovely. I have put some pictures up on webshots, and will post the link when I figure out how to do it.
Here we go try this http://community.webshots.com/user/emleytvr

I am on a steep learning curve, bought "the" book and nearly read it cover to cover (sad).

One niggle, the drivers door lock fell apart and I can not figure out how to get it back together, nothing in the bible. It is the early push-to-open type with a cack microswitch operating the alarm imobiliser... any clues.

Roll on next summer

PS this website is ace

Does the novelty wear off after a few weeks... because at the moment it is getting worse...

PS if anyone is interested, photographs of my Pink Peril are at http://community.webshots.com/user/emleytvr

Beautiful!

As far as I'm aware, the novelty will last for a good long while, if not for life. I've had mine for two months now, and it's still awesome

Enjoy, just watch out for the wet, otherwise you run the risk of looking rather silly

and welcome.

Ditto...I thought I wanted an Elise (Exige!) until I saw one parked up next to the Chim ('94 4.0) in the showroom. It proved to be no competition and Trev stole my heart He had to belong to me and two weeks later I brought him home

Hi new person!

Dont bother with the door lock. I have a 93 chim and was told of how often the crap original fails. Rip it out and replace it with push button locking from the key fob. If you get an auto electrician to do it you will pay around £100.

My locks fell apart within weeks of owning it and just having them sorted at the moment along with a few other bits.
