Yesterday collected my car from Noble Motorsport, it went in for its big service (24k) having only done 14k but there were some extra items needing replaced, ball joints, housings, anti-roll bar links, a horn and some other bits n bobs. I'm very pleased with the work they have done and the feedback of ongoing work/customer service was the best i've experienced with any garage.

The car already had the roush system on when i bought it but prior to the re-map i fitted the pro-alloy intercooler, hard pipes, a dump valve and the bosche 044 pump, now its making just shy of 480bhp and 420lb/ft, the delivery is much smoother and the power curve climbs all the way to the limiter whereas before it started to dip past 6000rpm. It feels rapid, i love my car ! smile

Also it turns out the geo was all wrong (i assumed it drove as it should) so now handles much better too, especially on a/b roads.thumbup

For anyone that remembers me moaning about my cutting out issues - It turned out the brand new Bosche 044 pump which i had fitted (shorty after buying the car) was faulty and caused the engine to cut out at random. It took the guys a while to suss this out after they changed the ECU and engine wiring loom to try and cure the problem. The had never heard of a 044 failing before and were shocked to see changing the pump cured the problem as when on the rolling road it didn't cut out no matter what they tried, so rollers don't actually replicate the public road! but they still don't know what was wrong with the pump, hopefully bosche have some answers for us soon.

Thank god it was just a bad fuel pump and not anything seriously wrong with the engine. clap

Glad you had the same experience as I did with Noble Motorsport and you got the same results touché, they are very good at keeping the customer informed of the progress and to date I haven't found any faults with their workmanship ,and I have stripped mine down to the bare bones to make numerous mods i.e stainless floors, polish exhaust, hard pipe kit ,swirl pot and expansion tank ,re-routing coolant pipes ect.nerdsmokin

Bosch 044's failing is not "uncommon". I'm fitting an external Wabro pump, better all around. Lower power consumption, same flow and not as noisy.
