2002 A4 2.0 FSI Multitronic - issues to look out for?

Afternoon all,

Considering a 100k example for the wife to do 5k a year in.

As the title really, any know issues with either the 2.0 engine or Multitronic box at high milage?

Multi, no just dont do it to your self.

I'd avoid a Multitronic with LOW mileage,let alone one that had been around the block a few times.

I say that having had to foot the bill for a rebuild on a 40000 mile A4(£2500)

Early FSI engines can be troublesome too, I'd say avoid.

I had a drive in one on Sunday and it was just not my cup of tea. I'll strike it off the list.
