Has skiing killed my watch?

I was so pleased with my Seiko SKX 009.


I got it (because I was sick of shaking the strap of my Seamaster to pieces) to wear for cycling, holidays etc. but ended up wearing it all the time.

I thought it was bombproof. I should have known better - I've killed so many watches skiing (usually straps and faces getting broken). After a couple of days of hurting the legs in Whistler I found the watch was whizzing round at 40s for the minute. It's gone back to Seiko

A mate had a problem with his TAG Carrera not coping with golf.

Is there an automatic or kinetic of any kind that can cope with rapid alternating arm movements?
