Off out with the O/H in a few mins. "Shopping". She's already talking like we'll be back sometime around 10 tonight !

All we're going for is a new phone.

Just a suggestion, send her on her own?

You can have the day to yourself then and indulge in quality time with the xbox/polish the car/excessive masturbation/whatever takes your fancy.

All women are mental. Send her out alone and chill for the day.

Don't you think I've suggested that ? All I'm getting then is the "we never do anything together anymore".

Yeah mine wanted to go in rush-hour last night i persuaded her that it would be best for me to stay at home, anyway 3 hours later she returns empty handed with the usual line of "they didn't have anything nice there" rolleyes

I'd be happy if my other half put as much as 12 hours of thought into signing up for an 18 month contract. Although I suppose even if she did it would be at least 10 hours considering the colour.

The only shopping we do together is the groceries. Any clothes/shoes/handbag/woman-type shopping she does on her own. I get fed up trolling round and round getting cold and not actually buying anything.

Although I suppose we do both go to buy cars/motorbikes etc.

It's easy. Make a note of the first shop & first phone you look at, because it is the one you will return to buy 10 hours later. If you've got the balls, suggest you go for a "shop" on your own for a while, get a cab home, put feet up for a few hours, then cab back.
Alternatively, don't fall for the emotional blackmail of "we don't do...blah blah", and as already pointed out, send her on her own. Better yet, see if you can get one of her friends to go with her, she will soon forget the "we don't" etc.

Tell her to suggest something enjoyable then. If she wants to spend more time together suggest that you go out for lunch, or for a walk in the countryside, etc. I have an agreement with my OH that I don't go shopping with her unless it's to buy something that's going to be of interest to me, ie lingerie, impractical shoes, etc.

I'm no longer allowed to go clothes or food shopping with the other half. I make such a nuisance of myself that she gets the hump and SHE decides she's had enough.

Sure, you're in the bad books the frst few times you do it but eventually she will realise shopping is easier without you.

A small triumph that I am rightly proud of as I see mates dragged out shopping for the day.

Aversion therapy works well in these cases.
Ok love, I'll go shopping with you, if you come fishing/golf/cricket/insert anything she hates here with me tomorrow.
"I'm not going fishing/shooting etc, I hate it". Yes love, and I hate shopping.

I couldn't cope with that anymore. She has to do it at the busiest times of the week and is completely incapable of walking from one end of the store to the other without backtracking and going round in circles over and over and over.

I refuse to do it anymore, which costs me a fortune with the amount she ends up spending but every penny's worth it (though I try and avoid letting her know that)!

Flirt with the shop girls/other female costumes. Then drag her off to look at HiFi, DIY tools, Halfords etc.
Call into a fishing tackle shop and talk to the guys about likely hot venues or baits etc. Most woman hate that because they can't understand a word of it and there is nothing of interest to look at. (bit like being in a clothes shop for a bloke)

Next time she'll probably want to go alone or with another female chum.

you could always try having sex with her? wink

Seriously though, tell her to go shopping then take her for dinner and drinks tonight. you need the time to make yourself look pretty is a good excuse! smile

MY oh prefers to do her shopping on the internet. Seems like I'm one of the lucky few, normally if we do go into a shop to buy something, doesn't take too long and I normally pick something up too.

Jesus christ, i think my OH is addicted to supermarkets. Today, after getting car tax, she had her hair done, then we had to go to all the major supermarkets to 'price check' so we can save money! I left home at nine this morning, i got in at 3.45 this afternoon!ranting
