x type bad start

i have a jaguar X type 2002 auto +its petrol.from cold it starts up ok,but after running it+then leaving it when i get in to start it up it takes 2 goes to start it.ive just changed spark plugs+temp sensor for engine.at the inlets it seems to make a popping sound like its misfiring.
