Seized rear toe-in adjuster
Discussion
Stripped the rear offside wishbones today. I knew the toe-in adjuster was seized as the garage had told me when I had the geometry set. So intended to try and free that off prior to getting them shot blasted.
I've released the lock nut but the adjuster seems well and truly seized.
Soaked it in penetrating fluid and applied lots of heat with a blowtorch. I had the wishbone in my vice and got a spanner on it with a very long tube on the end to give me lots of leverage. All I mangaed to do was snap the jaws off my spanner.
Any bright ideas what I can try to release it? Or should I give up and get a new wishbone?

Hi
I put the wishbone in a vice and get 10" Stilsons with a 6' tube on it, that usually does the trick. I did once have to chain drill down and chisel it out and then re-tap with my trusty 1" unf tap but usually get away with method one.
Yes I did get Gaz to make me 100 new toe adjusters up so I have plenty for £4.00 plus carriage.

Tried holding the adjuster in my vice and pulling the wishbone but that didn't work either - now the spanner notch is f*cked.
I'll give the stilsons a go tonight, have a 4' piece of tubing ( I was using that when I snapped the spanner). Looks like the garage had already tried Stilsons looking at the thread....
If that fails I'm going to give up and find a second hand wishbone.
If I need a new toe in adjuster I know who to call
