Hi first post on here and its a cry for help!

Got a bit stuck tonight in my disco, and have had to leave the car and get home, nosed into some deep water, engine cut out, wont start, etc.etc. the usual worst case scenario.

The car is at a greenlane near Staplefords Abbott golf course near stapleford tawney, im just wondering if anyone off here wants to have a go at getting me out tomorrow, for a bit of cash. and a challenge!!!

Im thinking a winch would be necessary.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!

Phone no. 07791 604025,

hi mate, if yours is petrol i had the same problem a few months ago - i traced it to the ignition amplifier that is located just behing the headlamp near the coil - s o a good dunk can fill the connections with water - then no go.

Is that the "Golf Course" lane? Big wet hole in the middle of it? If so i remember this well!

Unfortunatly i cant help as my offroading days are over, but good effort on trying this one alone!

Just got message from Clived, thanks for that!!

Forgot i posted it on here, was a fkd up night.

Yeah got it out!! Mon morning got my boss with range rover was hard work but its out and back on the road now.

Had to winch it out forwards, pushing deper through the water then towed it through the tight tree section to road, got some nice scrapes now.

Yeah it was the Golf Course, 2 routes round this bit, easiest one is one we took, believe it or not!!

It just sucked up a bit of water and there was a big bank of muddy silt we nosed into, would have been much better in the daylight.

Thanks for the interset, and the lurking - i forgot i had joined here, and it seems a bit quiet at times. The offroading takes second place to my biking so i dont tend to get much time for it all!!

Cheers

Benny
