Cerb Electrics... I would like to put some in my Chim.
Discussion
Hi all,
For quite a while now I've been meaning to get around to this but I might actually get off my arse and do it this easter. I've always had a bit of a problem closing my doors with the roof on, because if I have the windows set high enough to really seal the gap and give no wind noise, then they hit the rubber seal when shutting, so don't actually shut properly. Then if I lower them so they shut nicely, I get wind noise (no leaks though luckily). I'd really like to stick a system in as used by the later TVRs and on my father's Porsche where the window lowers a bit as the door is opened, and raises again when shut. Is there a specific box that does this in the Cerb and is this a specialist item, or would I be able to find something aftermarket to fit to the car to make this happen.
I'm guessing I'd need a switch somewhere to disable it when the roof was off but otherwise I think it would work quite well. It would also give me an excuse to clean and improve the window motor connections which is long overdue. So my question is, does anyone know anything about the system used in the Cerb and do any wiring diagrams exist?
Second question, being quite long in the leg, the key have always annoyed me and often jab into my leg during spirited driving and I'd like to get rid of it. I've already wired in a starter button onto the dash, but I'd like to take this further and have a start/stop button as is seen in the Cerb. I asked Carl Baker about this and how it worked and he said he'd never looked so couldn't help me. I've looked all over the place for any info on creating such a system but alas have come up with nothing of any use. Again, does anyone know how this works in the Cerb, and are there any wiring diagrams in existance? If so I'd love to see them so I could design my own
Thanks in advance
