Decided not to purchase that 'new pair of jeans' this month, and take out some breakdown cover.....

Can any recommend (or not recommend) any of the typical providers.

Many thanks

Tried most of them over the years, Britannia Rescue are head and sholders above the rest if my experience is typical. They come out very well in surveys too.

They use agents but pay better and with less hassle than the others so the agents tend to go that one step further and that really makes their service, they are reasonably priced too.

Hope this helps.

I've used Britannia Rescue a couple of times in the last year (literally ) and they've been great both times.

No experience of the others though. Don't forget that the AA & RAC also use agents if they have no vans in the area. Chances are that Green Flag and Direct Line Rescue also use the same agents as all of the others.

Been in the AA for a year or so now and the only time I needed them they were great.
Plus you get discount on servicing and stuff.
If I were you I'd save the cash though the years subscription is more than your car is worth

We're in the britania rescue, no doubt I'll be able to tell you what it's like in a short time - the marlin is bound to break down at sometime

Do not support Green Slag.

See their website.........they actively support Mary Wotsit's anti car BRAKE outfit.

I use www.internationalbreakdown.com been very good the two times I've used em, inc with a boat in tow.
I think £89 covers you europewide too. It's per car though.
